Lammas Herbal Tea

Lammas is known as the first harvest festival and is traditionally celebrated on August 1. Lammas is also sometimes called Lughnasadh or the Grain Festival. During this annual celebration people thank the earth for its gentleness and we reflect on the fading light of the sun. You can see Lammas as an introduction to autumn and farewell to summer, because despite the warm time the days are clearly getting shorter again. Like Imbolc and Ostara, Lammas is an agricultural festival. After Lammas there are two more harvest festivals, namely Mabon and Samhain. These products can get you started to reflect on the power of Lammas and the splendor of magic and manifestations, so take the time to reflect on the harvest and the cycle that goes with it.

    Lammas Tea – Additional information

Lammas Tea is an herbal tea in a special and unique reusable glass bottle. Designed with a nod to the well-known magic potions. Developed with the intention to reflect for a moment on Lammas and its celebration. Although this tea is of course also tasty the rest of the year, the mix consists of cinnamon, rose hip, sandalwood, ginger and marjoram. A mix with a browner and redder touch.

Use a tea strainer to make this tea, as a rule of thumb you can say that 2 grams of tea is sufficient for one cup. Bring the water to a boil, then let it cool down gradually. Do not overfill the sieve, as the tea needs space to release its flavor, aroma and colorants to the tea water. Let the tea steep for 3 – 4 minutes.

The above rules of thumb are guidelines, don’t be afraid to experiment with drawing times, quantities and temperatures. Drink tea the way you like it.
If you would like to serve the tea colder, pour it into a cold teapot or a cold tea glass to let the tea water cool down a bit.
